Shakespeare’s classic Twelfth Night has been reimagined and set in the decadent and lavish roaring 20s.Think the grace and style of The Great Gatsby meets the bootlegging underground jazz halls of the era with original music and choreography to bring the bygone era to life. The play centers on the twins Viola and Sebastian, who are separated in a shipwreck. Viola, who is disguised as a man, falls in love with Duke Orsino, who in turn is in love with Countess Olivia. Various other hijinks ensue as Viola navigates her way through this new world that she finds herself in. The story has ties to modern society from class struggles to expression of love and affection.
